Haikyuu
Haikyuu is a manga and anime created by Haruichi Furudate. The first manga was published in 2012 and the series ended in 2020. The anime series has four seasons so far and a renewal is yet to be announced.
The story follows Hinata Shoyo who dreams of becoming a professional volleyball player. He makes it to the Karasuno Highschool volleyball team where he and his teammates build lifelong friendships and train to best the other teams in order to rise to the top. Significant on this show is the relationship between Hinata and his teammate Kageyama Tobio which starts off quite rough but evolves into a strong friendship over time.
Project description
My sister was the one who urged me to watch this show during the first Covid lockdown in 2020 and I cannot thank her enough for convincing me. The light-heartedness of the show with its beautifully written characters has gotten me out of dark places and still continues to make me laugh. (And it has reawoken my love for volleyball!) I also have Oikawa and Kageyama cosplays which I have been fortunate enough to show off at Comic Cons and which fill my with joy.
